Apparently I look 100 percent Moroccan to the locals. Everywhere I go, especially when I wear the Djellaba as pictured below, I'm asked my ethnicity. In Morocco they have what they call "Berber People", which are the indigenous people of the country. Similar to Native Americans in the United States. The Berber people have their own language and customs. Anyways, according to Moroccans I especially look Berber because of my hair, skin and other features. This past weekend my friends and I decided to go along with it in the hopes of getting some good deals in the Medina.(The Medinas are bargaining only, there are no set prices here...so you have to be good at haggling.) Unfortunately, I can't pull it off because I don't speak the langauge! It was worth a try...
