Colorful Fez

This past weekend we stayed in Meknes and Fez. My favorite city of the two is Fez! The hotels in Morocco are gorgeous and traditional. It's so beautiful to see ones that aren't westernized. On Saturday morning we visited Volubilis-Roman ruins from the 3rd century. I bet you didn't know that Morocco had roman ruins?! Driving from city to city is my favorite because I'm able to watch the locals interact, and see the countryside. Speaking of which, the countryside is absoloutely divine. Rolling hills, cows, sheep, and people traveling by carriage, foot, horse, donkey, and many other combinations.

I'm wearing a traditional Moroccan Djellaba worn by some of the women. Behind me is the Old Medina (City) in Fez. It is the oldest and largest Medina in the whole world. A Medina is a "Old City" that is walled in.
